The Next Indiana Jones Film Has A New Writer – Who Is Actually Its Old Writer?!

By | News

The saga over who will write the next Indiana Jones film continues. Originally, David Koepp was supposed to be writing Indy 5. Koepp is a long time Spielberg collaborator and also wrote Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Koepp was then replaced by Jonathan Kasdan as the writer of the next Indy film. Kasdan would later be replaced by Dan Fogelman.

Now it seems like David Koepp is once again in charge of bringing Indy back for one last adventure. The longtime writer recently spoke with Den of Geek and shared some interesting news regarding Indy.

From Den of Geek:

I don’t know how much you can talk about Indiana Jones 5. You were working on it for a bit, and you’re not anymore.

I actually am again. I’m working on it again. We’re still trying. And I think we’ve got a good idea this time. We’ll see.

So it looks like David Koepp is back. Indy 5 is still on track to begin shooting next year and be released in 2021.
